It’s time for a big Before + After reveal! Because this was a decorating project that was over 4000 sq. ft we’ll split the reveal into several posts. Today we’ll start with the Dining room redesign. You may have seen a few spoilers of this on our instagram feed – but take a look at the before first!

This room definitely had some good things going for it such as the coffered ceiling, the built in buffet and mirror at the end and a stunning wood table under the plastic table cloth. My client has 3 darling little girls who like to paint their nails on the dining room table (Eeeek!) so of course she needed to protect it from any potential damage.

The dining room was good but not great. It was crying out to be dramatic and sexy and to host many a dinner party! Check out the after…

Pretty great right? Typically we’d use wallpaper to add pattern to the walls but instead we had Interiors to Inspire do a paint treatment that could be customized specifically for my client. It turned out so beautifully – no one could believe it wasn’t wallpaper!

That was clearly the biggest change in the room, but we also added drapery panels in order to add some texture, depth and to highlight the high windows with a view of Auburn Bay Lake, as well as artwork and accessories. My client had these framed prints in her basement that she didn’t know where to hang. We tried them in the dining room near the end of the styling week and knew they’d work IF we had them reframed. Shout out to Perry, my favourite custom framer ever, for getting these done in such short notice!

This dining room is perfect for hosting parties and girls nights. We love how it turned out!  Stay tuned to see the Great Room reveal next!
