How Interior Designers Add Value
We understand that hiring a designer is a big investment! But we, and I’m sure our past clients can attest to this, believe that it is an investment worth making. We believe that the environment we spend our time in directly affects how we feel and our homes are arguably the most important spaces we dwell in on a regular basis. We want you to love your home!
Our job is to create a space that is uniquely yours, so we prioritize collaboration with you, our client, to ensure that it meets all of your unique requirements. Today, we are going to run you through our main goals for every project and how they add value to your experience and the final project result.
Maximize the Space
Our job as designers is to maximize every square inch of your space. We will look at all of the nooks and crannies, and see how we can make use of them!
Whether we are coming up with a new floor plan or working with the existing one, we will generate a furniture plan to make sure that the scale is correct for your space. We thoroughly work through all options to ensure we execute the plan that will work best for you, maximizing the space and what you use it for.
It doesn’t matter if you have 1000 square feet or 8000, we will make sure what we suggest fits your lifestyle and incorporates the items that you love most!
Maximize Your Budget
We understand that this is a huge investment, and we take that very seriously. During our very first phone call, we will have a conversation about the scope of work and the budget that you have allocated to your project.
We will then be able to source your furniture and fixtures accordingly. We collaborate with our vendors and trade partners to source items that will maximize your budget. Maybe there is a console table that we found that would be absolutely perfect for your space, but it is not within budget. We will take it to our carpenter and see if he can replicate it for a fraction of the cost!
Our relationships are essential to our project success because it helps us to stretch your budget in ways that shopping retail can’t.
Achieve an Intentional & Thoughtful Final Product
We like to ask questions about you and your lifestyle because it helps us create a space that will have a positive effect on your everyday life.
For example, if you’re renovating your dining room and have young kids, you may want the space to be elegant, but you also need it to function with children. We will take this into consideration during our design process and thoughtfully incorporate deeper tones that are more forgiving and use performance fabrics that are designed to withstand life.
We get your space to where you want it to be without compromising your needs or wants. Maybe you like to entertain, but also like to go to bed early and would like your guests to leave at a reasonable hour. We might recommend putting the lighting on dimmers, and opt for bulbs with colour changing technology, so the lighting will change throughout the evening and when you are ready to end the night, the soft atmosphere will have your guests tired and ready to go home!
Tailor All the Details to Your Everyday
We want to create an environment tailored to you and your lifestyle. That is why we focus so much on space planning and identifying what you value. If you plan for this home to be your forever home, we will make sure you have everything you need to age in place. If you are looking for accessible housing, we know where to source all of the necessary furnishings that are ADA compliant. If you have pets or kids, we will be sure to choose safe and durable materials to stand the test of time.
When you hire a designer, you are hiring us for expertise and experience. We are passionate about what we do and your happiness is our priority!
