Project Reveal - #SCIDCoolestInCollingwood
So technically this home isn’t in Collingwood… but i like to distinguish each project and we already had one in Foothill Estates. Right next door in fact. I certainly couldn’t have two hashtags with Foothill Estates could I?

Do you remember #SCIDmomanddadsreno? Yes, I literally mean my mom and dad’s reno. They are next door neighbours to this project!
I love a good backstory and even though we’ve shared this project and it’s been featured in Style At Home magazine (shameless plug) I don’t think we’ve shared how this client came to us.

One day when I was leaving my folks renovation after meeting with the contractor, the neighbour was outside who happens to also be the realtor for this client (and our realtor as well - maybe he should be yours!?).
He said “Hey, this really nice couple bought this house and they are going to do a reno. You should give them a call!” So I got their contact info, sent them an email with my portfolio and we organized our first call.
Our connection was immediate. We just clicked! I liked them so much right from the start that I seriously think I would have been gutted had they not picked me. Afterall, they were referred to someone else from the builder but thankfully they liked my portfolio better and they got my sense of humour!
They trusted us implicitly to design their home to the best of our abilities and this home is turned out so stunning. We were able to bring our most creative ideas to the table because we knew they were open and game for nearly everything.
Along with the builder (who we adored and was super communicative), this client and us we truly made a dream team! I wish all projects could go this smoothly and be this fun.
We truly enjoyed each others company throughout the project and in the end became friends. And that is such a huge win in my books! Yes we love it when a project is beautiful and functional - but we also love it when the client has had a fantastic experience with us and we remain in each other’s lives afterwards!
